Student visa
Scan your documents for a French student visa
Applying for a French student visa, through Campus France or directly at the consulate, means uploading a stack of documents. Consulates and universities reject pages that are dark, skewed, cropped, or covered in glare, and that costs you days you may not have. Below is the document checklist and how to turn each phone photo into a clean, submission-ready scan.
Document checklist
- Passport and ID
- Your passport photo page and your national ID card, front and back.
- Diplomas and transcripts
- Your latest diploma and your academic transcripts.
- Proof of accommodation
- The housing attestation or lease for where you will stay in France.
- Proof of financial resources
- Bank statements or a financial guarantee covering your stay.
- Birth certificate
- A recent copy of your birth certificate.
How to scan each document
- Lay the page flat
- Put the document on a flat, evenly lit surface, with no folds and no shadow across the page.
- Capture the whole page
- Frame the entire document with a small margin. Nothing cropped, nothing cut off.
- Let PhotoToScan clean it
- Upload the photo. Shadows, glare and skew are removed, and the page is cropped and straightened.
- Download and submit
- Download a clean JPG or PDF and upload it to Campus France or your consulate file.
